Try enriching hair treatments, such as a warm scalp massage, and adjust your hair care routine in a way that avoids stressing your hair. Try one or all of the tips for quick hair growth and enjoy luscious lengthier locks in less time.

First try a warm oil scalp massage. Keep in mind that, there is no scientific proof, a warm scalp massage can lead to faster hair growth. Warm scalp oil massages use natural oils to improve the health of the scalp and promote hair growth. Oils such as coconut oil, olive oil, jojoba oil and argan oil can be used during a scalp massage. First heat the oil in a bowl of hot water. Before use, test the oil to make sure it will not burn you. You want a comfortable temperature without damaging your scalp or hair. Use your fingertips (not your nails) to gently massage your scalp with warm oil in a slow circular motion for about 3 minutes. Then, pass the oil through the hair and let it stand for about 30 minutes. Wash your hair thoroughly, possibly more than once, to remove grease. Oil massage on the day you usually shampoo, so you don't end up washing your hair more often than usual.

Make a hair mask. Give your hair some TLC (tender loving care) and encourage the hair follicles to grow faster by applying a hair mask once or twice a week. You can make your own natural oil mask or buy over-the-counter hair masks at your local drug store or beauty supply store. Mix 1 cup (237 ml) of coconut oil with 1 tablespoon (14.8 ml) of almond oil, macadamia oil, and jojoba oil. Apply the mask into damp hair and let it sit for ten minutes. Then, wash your hair and condition your hair as usual. To avoid excessive shampooing, use a hair mask on days when the hair is usually washed.

Try a castor oil treatment. Castor oil is known for its beneficial effects on the skin and hair. Using a castor oil hair mask can help your hair grow faster and healthier. First massage the scalp with castor oil, then let the oil seep into the hair. Wrap your hair and head with a plastic shower cap to keep the oil in placel. Some oil may seep from under the cap, so you may want to put a towel on any pillows to protect the pillow cases. Leave the oil in overnight. The next morning, wash your hair and condition your hair as usual, making sure to remove all oils.

Rinse with apple cider vinegar. Apple cider vinegar is very effective at removing dirt, grime and oil from hair, as well as residues from hair styling products. You can use cider on days when you don't use shampoo as a natural alternative, or you can use cider on a regular basis along with shampoos and conditioners. Add two tablespoons of vinegar to two glasses of water and rinse the hair with this mixture. Although the water may give off a strong vinegar smell, the smell will dissipate over time.

Wash your hair twice to three times a week. Reducing the shampoo routine to two or three times a week allows the oils in the scalp to penetrate into the hair. Then your hair can hydrate and repair itself. If you find that your scalp becomes very oily or itchy after shampooing twice a week, you may need to increase the number of shampoos per week. To properly shampoo, only rub it into the scalp, massage the scalp while doing this, and then allow then let the shampoo slide smoothly down the strands of your hair as you wash out the shampoo.

Condition your hair every time you shower. Unlike shampoos, it is important to use conditioner on your hair when you wet your hair in the shower. Conditioners help replace lipids and proteins in the hair shaft and make your hair longer and healthier. Rinse your hair with cold water at the end of the shower. Rinsing the hair with cold water at the end of a hot shower can help seal the cuticles and give your hair more durability when you style it. Cold rinsing is especially important after conditioning.  The cold water will seal the hair cuticles and lock in moisture from the conditioner.

Avoid covering wet hair with a towel. Although you may get used to wrapping and twisting your hair with a towel once you leave the shower, doing so may cause breaks and put stress on your hair strands. Wet hair is particularly fragile, so substitute the post-shower towel wrap with a gentle pat down using a dry towel. If you want to wrap your hair with a towel, try using a thin towel or a soft microfiber towel. These towels are made of a material that is gentle on your hair and dries it well without breakage.
